BLISS THE MUSICAL CAST ALBUM - November, 2022:
”Emma Lively and Tyler Beattie's musical, which premiered at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre in 2020, follows four unconventional princesses as they escape their sheltered lives and set off on a journey that will change them forever. Since the Seattle debut, a workshop of Bliss was held in Manhattan, and several songs from the show have been released on social media.” Listen to the debut track here.
MODERN LOVE - May, 2020:
"…My voice was ringing down the alley, and by the end of the song, neighbors were applauding from their windows and calling for an encore. I sang for my neighbors every night for the rest of the week. I had been so alone in my apartment that it didn’t even occur to me there were hundreds of other people, sitting alone in theirs, just a few feet away." Read the entire feature here.
DREAMWORKS’ MADAGASCAR - June, 2018:
"DreamWorks' Madagascar... opens at STAGES St. Louis with bright colors, zippy dance moves, and strong singing voices... We meet Gloria the hip-hip hippo, played by the delightful Claire Manship..." Read the entire review here.
IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU - June, 2016:
"Directed and choreographed by Stephen Bourneuf, the Stages production has a nice surprise, too: Claire Manship's performance as the bride's older sister, Jenny.
New to Stages, Manship is a charmer as a loving, capable young woman without whose care the elaborate wedding could never have come together. But people — including her mother — tend to take Jenny for granted, mainly because she's overweight. Her beautifully modulated performance could suit a much more serious play — until she lets go in the sensational “Jenny's Blues.” At that point, you understand why Manship belongs in musical theater." IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU - June, 2016:
"Claire Manship is the focus of the production with a winning interpretation of older sister Jenny, who knows she’s overweight and is keenly aware of her shortcomings thanks to her mother’s reminders. Manship gets the show off to a spirited start with the opening number, I Never Wanted This, that demonstrates the script’s impish heart and hints at what’s to follow." Read the entire review here.
IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU - June, 2016:
"Strong actors abound in the production and most have excellent singing voices. (I have no hesitation singling out Claire Manship... in this regard.)" Read the entire review here.
IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU - June, 2016:
"Stacie Bono... plays well off her sister Jenny, nicely essayed by Claire Manship, who provides a sense of her own self worth with the song 'Beautiful'." Read the entire review here.
BLISS THE MUSICAL CAST ALBUM - October, 2022:
“Bliss is releasing songs from the show on Spotify, iTunes, and wherever you get your music. Featuring music and lyrics by Emma Lively and Tyler Beatie and vocals from Alex Branton, Kayla Davion, Lissa deGuzman, Jovan E'Sean, Katy Geraghty, Lauryn Hobbs, Gizel Jiménez, John-Michael Lyles, Claire Manship, Claire Neumann, JJ Niemann, Veronica Otim, Conor Ryan, and Scarlett Walker, "Break Through The Dark" is the fourth song streaming now.” Watch the exclusive first look here.
AT THE WINDOW - May, 2020:
”…Her most popular clip shows her singing Whitney Houston's 'I Wanna Dance with Somebody’, which has been watched 1.5 million times.
She's sung other Whitney songs too, as well as Britney Spears' 'Baby, One More Time,' the Backstreet Boys' 'I Want it That Way,' 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow,' and Carole King's 'Where You Lead.'“ Read the entire article here.
MODERN LOVE PODCAST - May, 2020:
“I leaned out my window, and started singing… My voice was ringing down the alley, echoing back to me." Listen to the entire episode here.
HAIRSPRAY - July, 2017:
"The production is led by Claire Manship, whose spunk and smile as Tracy Turnblad is infectious. Manship’s impressive dance moves easily compare to those of the plastic 'Nicest Kids in Town' on the Corny Collins Show. It’s a delight to watch Tracy’s transformation from chubby outsider to teen trendsetter almost overnight." Read the entire review here.
IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU - June, 2016:
"That leaves Claire Manship in the main role of Jenny. Manship's vocals are going to stay with me for some time. There is a tone in her voice that is remarkable - Manship can sing. Whether she was serving sass in 'Jenny's Blues' or sincere emotion as she did in 'Perfect,' Manship's vocals were magical every time she opened her mouth. Her acting chops are equally impressive as she commanded the stage with a cool confidence each time she appeared. This is a performance that deserves some kind of trophy if you know what I mean."
IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU - June, 2016:
"The cast is ideally chosen, led by Manship in a winning performance as the kind but underappreciated Jenny... Overall, though, It Shoulda Been You is an outstanding showcase for Manship. She makes the most of her starring role, bringing lots of energy and a great voice, and it's Jenny's story that is the most convincing." Read the entire review here.
IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU - June, 2016:
"The young folks are impressive, with Claire Manship appealing as Jenny, the warm, witty sister of the bride. She sensationally delivers the opening number, 'I Never Wanted This'." Read the entire review here.
